Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are coming off their greatest regular season in history. Joining San Francisco and Chicago, Minnesota became the third team in NFL history to win 15 games in a season. The Vikings set many records in 1998, including most points scored in an NFL season. Veteran Gary  Anderson became the first place-kicker to have a perfect regular season. Rising star Randy Moss scored more touchdowns than any other rookie in league history. Randall Cunningham enjoyed a remarkable comeback season, becoming a leading MVP candidate. And the arrival of new owner Red McCombs provided the front-office stability that the Vikings had so desperately needed.

Although the season ended with a heart-breaking overtime loss to Atlanta in the NFC Championship, the future remains promising for the Vikings. With the retirement of John Elway, the Vikings are now the leading contenders to capture the next Super Bowl Trophy.

Below are a few images that capture the highlights of the Minnesota Vikings 1998 season.
